Mental health problems are common.
Around 1 in 4 people will experience a significant mental health problem at some point in their lives and around 1 in 20 people suffer from clinically significant depression each month.
For many people, performing well in a fast moving and, at times, challenging environment provides great satisfaction. However, an important minority will develop mental health disorders.
Unfortunately, there is still a lot of stigma attached to these conditions and people often find it difficult to speak about their difficulties or seek professional help when they need it.
However, it is important to understand that asking for help, when it is needed, is actually a sign of strength. There is a lot of support available, here at Connah's Quay Town FC we want to provide you with support should you or someone you know need it.
We have developed a support network of people - Wellbeing Champions, who have undergone training to help support you through difficult times.
They are not stress experts, counsellors, or therapists, but their training allows them to understand confidentiality and be able to actively listen to what you have to say and offer practical advice and assistance.
